Have you seen the documentary “What the Health” yet? Available on Netflix and Vimeo, “What the Health” is inspiring people throughout our community to check out a whole food plant based diet. This is the way of eating that minimizes or totally eliminates meat, dairy, fish, poultry, and processed foods such as oil and sugar. A successful whole food plant based diet centers around starches such as potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, beans, peas, lentils, whole grain pastas, with the addition of greens, vegetables, and fruit. Please watch the documentary, then bring your friends to this free Q&A. Everyone is welcome!
Some questions that we can discuss:
Where will I get my protein?
What kind of results can I expect while eating this way?
Is a plant based diet suitable for families/all stages of life?
If this works, why haven’t I heard about it before now?
Chelsea is the author of the plant based blogs “WholeFoodVegan.com,” and “WalmartVegan.com,” and is the Creative Assistant for “StraightUpFood.com” (featured in the Forks Over Knives magazine and What the Health). She has led introductory workshops on plant based eating in Calvert and St. Mary’s counties since 2012. Full time mom of 2 children, with 1 more on the way.
This free event will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2 to 3:00 p.m. at Evolve Yoga + Wellness.
