This comprehensive 50-hour training focuses on understanding trauma and helping reframe it’s negative effects of victimhood and suffering into an opportunity to be kind and self-loving, yoking with the heart through mindful, coherent Yoga practices. As we unpack the pranic implications of holding trauma in the body, we’ll discover that the unwinding or thawing of this “frozen potential” allows greater possibilities for stability, self acceptance, healing and vitality to emerge.

Teachings will include: trauma’s neurological and physiological impacts, recognizing PTS(D) symptomology, embryonic origins of the nervous system, asana, pranayama and meditation techniques that recalibrate the nervous system and release trauma granthis, mind/body bilateral integration, accessing the soma of rejuvenation within, building resilience from the inside out, creating and sustaining positive impressions in the mind, and more.Due to the intricate nature of this work, we will practice listening and feedback skills that fortify personal boundaries and cultivate a well-contained, loving presence for our students and ourselves.

This training will be held on the beautiful riverside campus of St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
